R2F and F2R describe movement relative to the vehicle's front and rear. These illustrations are examples viewed from outside the left side of a van, with the front on the left.
Viewing the right side? Mirror the examples: the front will appear on the right. R2F still means towards the front; F2R still means towards the rear.
